I took advantage of the transfer to meet my old colleague stationing in Frankfort, the business and financial centre of Germany. Frankfurt is home of the European Central Bank and the German Stock Exchange. Martin greeted me inside the airport terminal, drove me to city center (so I did not need to learn the public transportation systems), showed me around town including Römer square, River Main, etc., fed me breakfast and lunch, and chatted about life after we have not seen each other over 20s years. BTW, a travel alert: watch out for passport theft in Frankfort airport and organic food business fraud in Germany. — checked in to Frankfurt Airport.
