Pisa, Italy

We took a regional train from Florence to Campo dei Miracoli including the leaning tower, the Duomo in the center, and the Baptistery. Torre Pendente (Leaning Tower) was originally conceived as the cathedral's bell tower. Construction began in 1173 and the tower started leaning due to subsidence of the ground, it was kept  from leaning more in 2001, and open to those wishing to climb it. We could have bought one single train ticket from Florence to Cinque Terre (stop at Pisa S. Rossore) to save time and money.
