Arrived at Bitola, the second largest City in Macedonia, after 1.5 hrs bus ride. I visited Heraclea Lyncestis an ancient Greek city in the kingdom of Macedon. Phillip II of Macedon founded it in the 4th century B.C., including These include the Roman theatre, Roman thermae (bath complex), small and large basilicas added by the Byzantines, Jewish temple, and intricate church floor mosaics. I then visited the visiting the Museum of Bitola which houses the ruins of the Heraclea Lyncestis and exhibits on the Balkan struggle for independence from the Ottomans, focusing on Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, a Turkish army officer and first President of Turkey.

I walked via Širok Sokak Street (Wide Street) to the hostel, which is the place to see and be seen in Bitola. This pedestrian boulevard is lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants. A heavy rain stated when I was food shopping in Stara Čaršija, or the Old Bazaar of Bitola, which has cobblestone streets connecting 900 shops selling everything from housewares to farm animals. My last stop of the day was Isaac Mosque build in 1506 by Isaac Kadi (Judge) one of the nicest Ottoman building on the Balkans.
