I borrowed a mountain bike from the hostel owner and started biking alone the lake shore from 9:15 am and reached the Sveti Naum Monastery complex after 3 hours (30km) with three major uphills and numinous Great Lake views. I visited three churches and a nearby spring-created Drim River. Naum's Church of the Holy Archangels (AD 900) became the 16th-century Church of Sveti Naum ; this multidomed, Byzantine-style structure on a cliff, surrounded by roses and peacocks. th the grave of St. Naum still stands. The frescoes were painted in 1806 (the side chapel frescoes depict the life and miracles of St. Naum). I planned to take a boat with the bike back to town, but no boat rides today, so I ended up sharing a taxi with two senior ladies back to Ohrid, with the help from one of the four hostel mates met in Sveti Naum.

I had the famous fish soup for dinner tonight: Ribna Čorba, a traditional fish soup with fish meat, fish eggs, and spice. I walked around town for the last time, as I am heading to the next city tomorrow morning. I cooked some cucumber back in hostel to supplement the vege. — checked in to Lake Ohrid.

  1. 3 hour bicycle ride, you are very fit. Is it cool there? Very hot and humid back home.
